The year 2020 has been excellent for the Gacha genre, as it saw a visible spike in its popularity for two reasons. The first reason is that a majority of the world’s population stayed at home due to the COVID-19 restrictions, which caused even non-gamers to try out video games for the first time. Even until 2024, gacha games still reign supreme.
The second reason is that some very successful game releases and major existing releases sparked new interest in gamers who previously avoided Gacha games.
As we enter a new year, it’s natural to want to know what games to spend our precious time on—especially when there are hundreds of different options.
Luckily for you, we have carefully handpicked the 42 best Gacha games for Mobile and PC in 2024 and created a thorough list for you.

2. Mobius Final Fantasy
Available On: PC, Android, iOS.
While the other Final Fantasy games on this list are enjoyable even for people who are not overly familiar with the franchise’s previous entries, Mobius is an exception meant for fans of the series.
It’s a great entry that makes use of gacha mechanics and was originally released for the mobile platform. However, its great success allowed it to make its way onto PC.
The gameplay incorporates many crucial Final Fantasy gameplay elements from the console games, such as role-playing mechanics, exploration, fast travel, turn-based combat, and jobs.
The story itself is very reminiscent of Final Fantasy games too since it has themes of warriors of light fighting against the forces of darkness.
And of course, while it’s free-to-play, it does not enforce real-world purchases, or else it wouldn’t be on our list! It’s very fairly balanced and that’s no surprise given that Square Enix likes to play fair.

4. Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
No list of video games would be complete without at least one mention of a Star Wars project. Although most licensed games are cash grabs at the end of the day, it’s easily forgivable when it comes to Star Wars due to how massive its world and characters are. It would be a crime if we didn’t get to explore more of it in different entertainment mediums.
Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is a turn-based RPG in which you fight simulated battles, which includes recreating iconic moments from the movies. There is a light character campaign, a dark character campaign, and you can even go on raids with other players.
So, whether you fly solo or like to team up with buddies – there is plenty to do in this game. The gacha factor comes in the form of unlocking iconic characters, so there is always some incentive left to unlock another favorite that you’re missing.
5. Princess Connect! Re: Dive
Princess Connect! is a very popular anime that has quite a large fanbase, although of course it’s a bit on the niche side because it’s not as recognizable as Dragon Ball per say. Regardless, the game spawned a very entertaining gacha mobile game called Princess Connect! Re: Dive, which features attractive animation, a fun story to follow, and real voice acting that feels like it’s straight from the anime.
The gameplay features real-time battles, which are pretty easy to fight but still satisfying. And the game has a large cast of adorable characters that the player can unlock – which has an added bonus for those who already know everyone from the anime.
It’s not a masterpiece by any means, but the simulation elements of the game and the long story makes it a very cozy experience for everyone who likes the genre.
6. Alchemy Stars
Alchemy Stars is one of the more recent games on this list, but it quickly made its way onto everyone’s smartphones due to how addictive its gameplay is. It features turn-based combat which creatively incorporates elemental attacks and attributes for the player to take advantage of.
The game has many unlockable anime-themed characters, and their voice acting is pretty decent, undoubtedly adding a lot of life to their personalities. The art style isn’t behind either, as the characters are very good-looking and detailed.
As for the story, it’s awfully detailed and puts the players into the shoes of a hero of light who will bring hope to the world after it has previously fallen victim to dark forces. It’s generic but does not feel like a copy of anything. Thus, all in all, Alchemy Stars is the game that you should go for if you feel like you need something fresh.
7. Awaken: Chaos Era
If you want to take a little break from all the anime aesthetics and art styles, let’s take a look at the lesser known Awaken: Chaos Era. This fully-3D RPG throws players into a fantasy world full of unique characters, ninjas, beautiful environments, and dangerous monsters.
You start off playing by yourself, but then you can participate in both PvE and PvP battles later on.
The gameplay is quite strategic and lets every hero use unique abilities which come in handy. And while it does become a bit pay-to-win due to its gacha elements, it’s still pretty fun to play online due to how flashy the gameplay and graphics are.
8. Summoners War
Summoners War is one of the oldest games on this list – but fortunately it is regularly updated and this means that you will have dozens of hours’ worth of content to catch up to when you finally start playing it. It takes place in a futuristic universe where wars are fought every day before and after breakfast – and ‘summoners’ are used as a way to fight battles that determines the fate of kingdoms.
Since it’s a gacha game, the point is to unlock the best summoners and then make a very strong team that can help you take on the entire world. And yes, you can fight other players all around the globe, which gives the game a bit of a Pokémon feeling, although much grittier.
The best part of the game is perhaps its devoted community, which spans up to millions of players. Sure, not every registered person still plays – but when the total amount was 100 million, you can bet that it’s pretty active even today.
Some of the people that you’ll find will be nice, and others will be far less welcoming. Which is just the perfect recipe for a game that you will get addicted to and keep trying to get better in. Whether you spend money for that goal or your hard work, that’s entirely up to you.
9. Dddd or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation
Available on: PC.
The Dddd or Alive franchise is known for two things: fighting and hot babes. The Xtreme series has been infamous for capitalizing on the latter – but it cannot be denied that the mini-games and simulation elements that they feature have always been very entertaining to indulge in.
Dddd or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation is a free-to-play gacha game that features very high-quality 3D models much like the console Xtreme spin-offs.
It’s the only Dddd or Alive game exclusively released on PC, and it essentially uses RNG for the elements where you need to find outfits and accessories for your characters. The game plays like the general Xtreme series as it has mini-games and simulation elements that advance the story, with beach volleyball still being the main focus.
The game was originally only released in Japan, but a few more countries are included now and the Steam version is in English, so you can purchase the game with a VPN and then play it without any hiccups once it’s registered to your account.
10. Dungeon Hunter Champions
Available On: PC, Android, iOS.
Dungeon Hunter Champions is a gacha-based MOBA that was very popular when it came out and quickly became one of the most successful games Gameloft had created recently.
It features great gameplay in both PvE and PvP combat and is filled with many unique and attractive heroes to unlock. On top of that, it features cross-play and cross-progression between the PC and mobile versions of the game too.
It’s not as alive as it once was due to Mobile Legends Bang Bang picking off in Esports, but it’s still one of the only games of its kind that you can play on a PC without emulation – and there is a fairly dedicated player-base still to be found thanks to the fact that it’s free-to-play.
11. Marvel Puzzle Quest
Available On: PC, Android, iOS.
Marvel is on a roll with how popular it has become in recent years thanks to its amazing comics, video games, and the cinematic universe – so it’s no surprise that multiple games based on their characters are currently going strong.
Marvel Puzzle Quest is a faithful match 3 puzzle game that has strong gacha elements as it’s free-to-play, a hero collector, and has a fair bunch of RPG game mechanics too.
If you like puzzle games, gacha mechanics, and the Marvel universe of characters – this game is exactly what you have been looking for. The only thing you’ll struggle with is PvP early on, but you can still do better without spending any real-world money if you grind a bit.
12. Loot Box Simulator
Available On: PC.
A bit bored of games that take themselves too seriously? Here’s a breath of fresh air. Loot Box Simulator is a satire game that makes fun of the entire gacha genre and how loot boxes in video games work.
Whether you’re in for the humor or just find opening a lot of loot boxes with surprises inside fun – this game is very entertaining for a couple of hours. It’s free, so what do you lose besides time anyway?
Aside from opening loot boxes, it has mini-games, a story, cosmetics, and lots of humor even in things as small as the description to the in-game items you unlock. It has tons of achievements too if you’re into that.
13. Granblue Fantasy
Available On: Android, iOS, web browser (PC included)
Originally released only in Japan, Granblue Fantasy found its way to a broader audience after being localized in English per demand from fans of the RPG genre. The game follows a turn-based combat system and has one of the fairest Gacha structures as it allows players to gain some of the best characters and items without spending any real-world money, too.
Not only is the gameplay fun, but the visuals and art style are also excellent. They are one of the main reasons why people still come back to this game today.
As long as you play the game consistently, you will be rewarded with the opportunity to use a lot of summons. And thanks to its age, there is a large roster of characters and items to unlock, and many different quests to spend some time in which are updated even in 2024.
The game is also very convenient for people who switch between devices, as you can play it on your phone when you’re outside and then log the same account onto the browser version on a computer screen. Seamless cross-play is always a blessing.
14. Gems of War
Available On: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android
Gems of War is a mixture of different genres, which are role-playing, match-three, and gacha. It may sound like a strange combination of gameplay at first – but it all blends in together perfectly. First of all, the puzzle gameplay and unlockable mini-games are very fun to play.
The game does not enforce real-world purchases for the player to have fun and that means the player can actually enjoy progressing through its quests.
You must be wondering where the RPG elements come into this? Well, it’s quite unique. You can build a team of troops and then take them into battle when you play the puzzle part of the game. Based on how well you play, you fight enemy troops and bosses!
It’s a very fresh concept and allows players to enjoy the gacha genre differently than its competition. And the game is updated regularly, so you won’t ever run out of content either.
15. Fate/Grand Order
Available On: iOS, Android
Fate/Grand Order is considered one of the most satisfyingly entertaining Anime gacha RPG video games and that reputation is in place for a very good reason.
Just like the anime series, the game has an engaging storyline that features several of the characters that you know and love from the Fate franchise. Over 60 of the original voice actors return for the game and elevate a game that already has very good gameplay.
The game requires a lot of grinding if you want the coolest characters and all, but it’s achievable without having to spend real-world money. But when a game is such a complete package, whether it’s in terms of visuals, gameplay, or sound design – sparing a few dollars doesn’t hurt!
16. Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia
Available On: Android, iOS
Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia is a love letter to the fans of the long-running and wildly successful franchise. The game follows a very well-crafted RPG structure with a little bit of the gacha touch and features turn-based combat to top it off with an authentic Final Fantasy feel.
There are over 120 characters that you will recognize from your favorite Final Fantasy games immediately, and there is tons of customization to play around with.
One of the best things about the game is perhaps its story mode, which follows a kind of a ‘dream crossover’ concept that sends you through the world of different Final Fantasy games. Your job is to figure out what’s going on while meeting familiar friends and foes along the way.
While this game is enjoyable even for newcomers, it’s undoubtedly a fact that the audience it will matter the most to are fans of the RPG genre and Final Fantasy itself.
17. Onmyoji
Available On: PC, Android, iOS.
Onmyoji is a unique turn-based MMO that focuses on two types of gameplay – PvP and PvE. The game features a beautiful world that is populated by colorful characters and a very long list of story quests which include challenging boss fights.
Every move that you use in the game has a unique flair and eye-candy animations, which never gets old to watch.
And to elevate that experience even further, the game has an original soundtrack composed by Shigeru Umebayashi, and voice actors that are known for series like Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Final Fantasy, and more.
There is a lot of customization available to the players and you can build a perfect team based on your preferences by unlocking characters, which is where the gacha element comes in.
It’s a great game that can be called one-of-a-kind due to its unique aesthetic and it also supports cross-play between all platforms.
18. Honkai Impact 3rd
Available On: PC, Android, iOS
Honkai Impact 3rd is created by the same developers as Genshin Impact and was released first. While it did not get the same amount of attention that Genshin did, it’s still one of the most beautiful and exciting games to play in 2024.
Instead of relying on weaponry that fits the old ages, Honkai has lots of guns to shoot and unique robotic enemies to fight – essentially making it a futuristic adventure to play through.
There are many different weapons and skills to unlock and the RPG elements are on spot too.
The game is fairly rewarding for its free players, while those who wish to support the game can end up getting some really cool bonuses. Whether you’re looking for alternatives to Genshin Impact or just want to play something futuristic with great squad-based gameplay – this game deserves a shot.
And of course, cross-play is there too.

20. Another Eden

Another Eden is a game created with fans of old-school JRPGs in mind since too many recent games rely on multiplayer or low difficulties to get more attention.
The game’s story is written by none other than popular author Masato Kato and the story takes you through a large map that is filled with beautiful locations and threats every step of the way.
The usual RPG features are there, such as leveling up your parties and equipment as you progress through the game, and the combat is turn-based too.
Thankfully, while the game has gacha elements, they do not come in the way of enjoying the game and allow players to see them as optional. It’s a game that every fan of classic JRPGs needs to try!

You can play as different classes in the game and customize your character with many options to start off. Then how you approach the game’s world after the first few quests is entirely up to you, and it has many extra features too such as taming monsters, building bases, and crafting different elements.

The game does not take itself seriously and that’s what makes it so appealing to laid-back audiences.

Players are given a large open world to play around in and it’s beautifully immersive. Filled with lots of quests, NPCs, side activities, customizable characters, and the environment – Black Desert keeps its players as busy as possible.
But the best part about this game is the fact you can tame animals and make them your pets. You can then do things such as using them to travel, using them in combat, and even breeding them to gain stronger, more durable mounts.
Aside from these things, the game’s combat system is very good too, and gives you the feeling of a AAA hack ‘n slash despite being an MMO. The only thing it lacks is cross-play, as the PC, console, and mobile versions differ.

Sword Art Online is as divisive as it is popular, but the Alicization Growing Steel video game is something that would satisfy both sides of the fandom. As to be expected, it has a great storyline that follows similar patterns to the anime series and it features well-made turn-based JRPG gameplay that’s wildly enjoyable.
To mix things up, the game added a ‘Spirit’ system that people would recognize from the anime and it lets people execute fully-animated combo moves that are very fun to watch.
Its gacha mechanics are more noticeable than some of the other games on the list, but it’s still very enjoyable if you wish to grind rather than spend real-world money.
That’s it for our list of the 36 Best Gacha Games For PC and mobile in 2024. This was certainly a list full of some of the most incredible games out there, and we hope you found the ones best suitable for you.
