Feats in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous are special abilities that players can earn to improve their class and abilities.
In some cases, feats can also boost stats and enable players to do actions that were previously restricted by the rules. These perks can be acquired by reaching a certain level, where you’ll be given the option to pick between an Ability Score Improvement Feature or a Feat.
As we all know, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a massive fantasy CRPG that normally takes weeks to complete. That means you’re going to invest a lot of time figuring out what build, companion, weaponry, and armor work great for you.
However, if you find the game’s system too complicated and want to focus on the storyline, then we’ve got just the guides to help you through your adventures.
Starting off with feats, we’ll be discussing an important combat feat called Armor Focus in this guide.
What is Armor Focus In Pathfinder?
Armor Focus is a combat feat in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous that gives players increased protection on certain kinds of armor.
While wearing armor alone still gives you the protection you need, getting this feat is crucial if your character is a strength-based melee fighter, and it doesn’t require you to be a tank player to use.
It might not seem useful as you progress further in the game and become overpowered, but if you care about taking as much AC as you can get, then you should consider getting this feat.
I mean, who’d miss out on some extra protection? The combat is already overwhelming in WOTR as you are constantly surrounded by endless swarms of demons and creatures, so fighting on the frontlines without Armor Focus just makes you much more vulnerable to enemies.
This ability can only be applied to a single piece of armor or suit, for example, you can apply the Armor Focus on the Chain Shirt or Splint Mail. Using the Armor Focus grants that armor you select a +1 AC Bonus.
Players can pick up Armor Focus multiple times but the effects cannot be stacked, that’s because each feat you gain goes to a new type of armor.
The Armor Focus feat defines what kinds of armor you should equip with armor mastery feats and can also act as the armor training class feature.
There are three variants of the Armor Focus:
- Light Armor Focus
- Medium Armor Focus
- Heavy Armor Focus.
How do I get Armor Focus?
The requirements needed to get the Armor Focus feat are Armor Proficiency (depending on preferred armor type) and Base Attack Bonus 1.
The Base Attack Bonus or BAB of a character indicates its inherent capacity to do damage to an enemy in the absence of any bonuses or modifiers. A character’s BAB increases every time they level up depending on their class.
Conclusion
That wraps up everything you need to know about Armor Focus in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous! In comparison to the size of this colossal game, this feat might seem to take up a tiny fraction of it.
Personally, I believe every small boost counts when you’re starting out in the game.
Not to mention, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a game that will take quite a while to finish, which means every small choice you make will accumulate and you won’t even realize how powerful you are until you reach the end of the game. So, don’t take these things for granted.
