DeathLoop is an action-adventure First-person shooter that was just released by Arkane Studios and is quickly selling out. The game has been in the works for a while now, and fans have been really eager to get their hands on this new title.
DeathLoop has a lot of things going for it, the storyline and the action are just exciting, to say the least, but their unique twist on the Multiplayer PvP front is what makes the game stand out from all the other FPS shooters on the console and PC space.
This guide will contain every answer you’ve been wanting from the game, so just deep dive into it!
Is DeathLoop Cross-Platform?
The simple answer to the above question is a big fat NO! DeathLopp though supporting multiplayer battles, doesn’t have cross-play functionality. It is a massive disappointment for some players because you won’t be able to connect with your buddies who are on a different console.
But lately, the competing console companies haven’t been allowing crossplay in many newer titles for some reason. It happened with NBA2K22, and now it’s happening with the new Arkane studio game DeathLoop.
The real reason why there is no Cross-Play in DeathLoop
Without spoiling much of the game, here’s a brief summary of why there is no cross-platform action. The game doesn’t have a co-op battle mode where you pick teams; in fact, the game is only a PvP mode multiplayer match.
So you’ll be fighting against other players one on one without a team or a teammate.
You have two choices, you can either break the loop or protect the loop; depending upon what you choose, you’ll be given a different task. If you’ve played the game, you’ll understand what I’m referring to here. And there is only going to be a PvP mode; why bother having crossplay.
Yes, the PvP mode is unique and fascinating, but PvP modes don’t require a large player base; you are good to go with players from the same console.
Can you connect with PC players from PS5 or Xbox?
No, as there is no cross-platform action enabled in the game, you can’t connect with players from a different console family and PC players. This is a huge missed opportunity as the game’s PvP multiplayer mode would’ve been fun for many people. But to play PvP with your friend, you’ll have to be on the same console, not even the same console family; the same console is the only requirement.
Is Deathloop available on Mobile?
Death loop is a AAA title, which means it requires a lot of power to run, and sadly mobiles aren’t there yet. Most mobiles can run a boiled snow version of the game, so the studio decided to pursue the idea, but there are no plans for doing such stuff.
With their unique take on the PvP mode, the studio can benefit from a mobile version of the game because, lately, multiplayer games have seen immense success in the mobile market. Deathloop’s PvP mode will surely be a massive hit in the mobile space.
Is DeathLoop available on the Nintendo Switch?
Death loop was released on 14th September 2021 on the PS5 and the latest generation of the Xbox and PC. The game wasn’t released on the Nintendo Switch, which also houses a sizable gaming market. Not releasing it over there is a weird move from Arkane games.
Regardless of that, there are no plans on doing so in the future as well. So the simple answer is no.
We’ll keep our eyes and ears out in case something new pops up on the status of Deathloop on Switch.
